PM Modi mentioned the film ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ in Indonesia, Karan Johar expressed happiness
New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday in Jakarta, Indonesia while mentioning the deep cultural ties between India and Indonesia also remembered the special connection of Bollywood. He told that the popularity of Indian films and Hindi songs continues even today in Indonesia. Giving an example of this, PM Modi mentioned the songs of Shahrukh Khan’s blockbuster film ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ released in 1998.
Addressing the Indian community, Prime Minister Modi said that the relationship between India and Indonesia is not just of the present times, but the two countries have centuries-old cultural and historical ties. He also expressed his gratitude to Indonesian President Subianto Prabowo for the warm welcome.
PM Modi narrated an interesting story of Bollywood connection
During his address among the Indian community in Jakarta, PM Modi presented the popularity of Bollywood between the two countries in a special way. He said, “India’s song ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ is very popular here. On this, today I told President Prabowo that when two great countries like India and Indonesia move forward together, it is not just ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, but it becomes ‘Bahut Kuch Hota Hai’.” This style of the Prime Minister caught the attention of the people present there and gave a new context to the cultural relations between India and Indonesia.

It is noteworthy that Karan Johar started his directorial career in the year 1998 with the film ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’. This film was included in the biggest hits of that year.
