PM Modi tastes Jhalmuri with people during election rally in Bengal
Amidst the election atmosphere in West Bengal, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday launched a vigorous campaign in various parts of the state. His program included four big public meetings, in which he addressed people in different areas. During this time, a different style of his was also seen, when he reached among the common people in Jhargram and was seen tasting the local famous breakfast ‘Jhalmudi’.

In Jhargram, this simple and local look of Prime Minister Modi seemed to be attracting people. He was wearing a traditional kurta and red colored stole, which was making his ‘Bengali avatar’ more special. After the rally, he reached a small shop, where he ate Jhalmuri served in a paper thong. Not only this, he also shared this breakfast with the people around him, especially women, which made the atmosphere more intimate.

Strong attack on political issues
However, in his address the Prime Minister also strongly attacked political issues. Making serious allegations against Trinamool Congress (TMC), he said that the party is following the policy of promoting infiltrators in the state. According to him, this election is very important to save the cultural identity and heritage of West Bengal.
He said that the present government of the state is moving on such a path, which can prove dangerous for the society. The Prime Minister alleged that TMC was ignoring the interests of the general public and promoting problems like corruption and extortion. He also said that the common people have to depend on the leaders of the ruling party even for their basic needs, while the public representatives are away from the problems of the people.
In this way, on one hand, Prime Minister Modi attracted people’s attention with his easy-going behavior, while on the other hand, he heated up the election atmosphere by attacking his opponents from the political platform.
