PM Modi UAE Visit: Grand welcome in Abu Dhabi, said- ‘India stands shoulder to shoulder with UAE in every moment of crisis’
Abu Dhabi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the first leg of his five-nation foreign tour, where he was given a grand welcome. He was given a guard of honor at the airport.
During this, in the presence of Prime Minister Modi and UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, many important agreements (MOUs) were exchanged between the two countries. These include agreements related to energy and other cooperation areas, including strategic petroleum reserves, which further strengthen the relations between the two countries.
During the delegation-level talks, PM Modi expressed his gratitude to the UAE President and said that escorting the Indian aircraft is a sign of respect for India. He also thanked the UAE for its condolences during the recent natural disaster.
Discussing the regional situation, the Prime Minister said that India strongly condemns the attacks on UAE amid the tense situation in the Middle East. He said that targeting any country is not acceptable and the UAE’s restraint and leadership at such a time is commendable.
PM Modi also said that India has always been in favor of resolving disputes through dialogue and diplomacy. He stressed the need to keep the Strait of Hormuz safe, free and open and called for adherence to international laws.
The Prime Minister made it clear that India stands firmly with the UAE in every situation and is ready to provide all possible support to restore peace and stability in the region.
On the social media platform ‘X’, PM Modi wrote that the welcome given by President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at Abu Dhabi Airport was special and respectful. He said fruitful discussions are expected to further advance India-UAE relations in energy, investment, supply chain and other important areas.
