PM Modi’s big attack on Congress as soon as ‘victory’ in Tamil Nadu: Said – ‘Left DMK in the middle for power’, know what is the whole matter
Bengaluru/Chennai: Amidst the major changes in the politics of Tamil Nadu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has opened a front against Congress. Just after Thalapathy Vijay took oath as the Chief Minister, PM Modi, while addressing BJP workers in Karnataka capital Bengaluru, made serious allegations of ‘betrayal’ on the Congress. The PM said that after eating the cream of power, Congress did not waste any time in betraying its old ally DMK.
PM’s sharp taunt on the relationship between DMK and Congress
Reminding the history, Prime Minister Modi said that there has been a very deep relationship between Congress and DMK for about 25 to 30 years. He said that only the support of DMK saved Congress from sinking many times. Even if Congress remained in power at the Center for 10 years before 2014, the major credit for it goes to DMK. But as soon as the political winds changed, Congress, for its own interests, left alone the same DMK which had worked for its progress for years.
‘Stabbed’ colleagues in greed for power
Continuing his attack on Congress, PM Modi said that Congress, hungry for power, stabbed DMK in the back as soon as it got the opportunity. He sarcastically said that the condition of Congress has now become such that to remain politically alive, it needs some crutch or the support of a new party every time.
Target on internal discord of Karnataka government
The Prime Minister took on not only Tamil Nadu but also the current Congress government of Karnataka. He said that instead of solving the problems of the people, the government here is busy in its internal factionalism and fighting for the chair. He quipped that it has not been decided yet for how long the Chief Minister will remain on his chair.
Congratulated Chief Minister Vijay and promised cooperation
On one hand, PM Modi appeared to be attacking the Congress, while on the other hand, he wished the new Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu C. Joseph Vijay all the best for his new journey. PM Modi wrote on the social media platform ‘X’, ‘Hearty congratulations to C. Joseph Vijay for taking oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. I wish him all the best for his upcoming tenure. The Central Government is committed to working with the State Government to improve the quality of life of the people of Tamil Nadu.
Example given from Kerala, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan
Questioning the functioning of Congress, PM Modi said that the same ‘game of cheating’ is going on in Kerala also, where Congress turns away from promises made to its own leaders. Giving examples of Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and now Karnataka, he said that this has been the character of Congress.
Meanwhile, a big statement from actor Vijay’s mother has also come out. He said emotionally that his son’s swearing-in ceremony on Mother’s Day is no less than a big gift for him and it is the most special moment of his life.
