PM Modi’s guru will teach yoga at Times Square, will lead a special camp on International Yoga Day
Washington. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s yoga guru H R Nagendra will lead the International Yoga Day celebrations at New York’s iconic Times Square on June 21. Ahead of the International Yoga Day celebrations, Nagendra will also inaugurate a special yoga and wellness camp at Monticello, New York which will be held from June 12 to 14.
3 day special welfare camp to be organized in Monticello at Times Square
The camp will include yoga sessions, meditation, lectures on stress management, healthy ageing, holistic health-well-being and interactive discussions with community leaders, physicians and health experts. It is being organized by Rajasthan Association of North America (RANA), BRUHUD NY Seniors and Jaipur Foot USA.
American health experts will also be involved
Padma Shri awardee and President of Bengaluru-based Swami Vivekananda Yoga Research Institute University Nagendra and Vice Chancellor NK Manjunath will be included in this. Nagendra will also be the chief guest at the International Yoga Day celebrations to be organized by the Consulate General of India in New York on June 21 at Times Square. The theme of this year’s International Yoga Day is ‘Yoga for Healthy Aging’, which aims to establish yoga as a means to promote longevity, mobility and preventive health care.
