Who can install solar plant?

Where and how can you apply?
You can apply on the official site of ‘PM Surya Ghar: Free Electricity Scheme’ pmsuryaghar.gov.in.
step 1: First of all go to the official website of the scheme.
Step 2: Complete the registration by entering your state, electricity distribution company (DISCOM) name, consumer number, mobile number and email ID on the portal.
Step 3: After registration, log in using your consumer number and mobile number.
Step 4 & 5: Fill the rooftop solar form given on the screen carefully, review and submit.
Step 6: Your electricity company (DISCOM) will verify your house and documents and approve it.
Step 7: After getting approval, you can get a solar plant installed at your home from any vendor registered with DISCOM.
How to install net meter for solar plant?
Under ‘PM Surya Ghar: Free Electricity Scheme’, after completion of installation of solar plant, one will have to apply for net meter.
step 1: First of all go to pmsuryaghar.gov.in. Submit plant details. Apply for net meter.
Step 2: DISCOM officials will come for verification of the solar plant. Will install a net meter.
Step 3: A commissioning certificate will be issued on the portal. Download it.
Step 4: Now upload your bank account details and a canceled check on the portal.
