For whom is off-grid system better?

Off-grid solar systems operate completely independently and are not connected to the electricity grid. Batteries are used to store electricity in this. This is the reason why its cost is high and the cost of changing the battery from time to time also has to be borne separately.

This system is considered useful for areas where there are long power cuts or grid connection is not available.

Hybrid system is also becoming popular

Hybrid systems are a mix of both on-grid and off-grid technologies. It also has backup facility with grid connection. Battery support is available in case of power failure and on normal days the benefit of net metering is also available. However, its cost may be higher than on-grid systems.

In which system will it be beneficial to invest?

If power cuts are very rare in your area, then on-grid solar system is considered to be the most economical and profitable option. Its biggest features are low cost, government subsidy, minimum maintenance and long term performance. In areas with frequent power outages, hybrid or off-grid systems can prove to be a better option.
