Police action on Iqra Hasan, FIR registered in protest demonstration case
Knews Desk– The political atmosphere in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh heated up when the police registered an FIR against Samajwadi Party MP from Kairana, Iqra Hasan. The case is related to the protests and road jams regarding the Monu Kashyap murder case. Police have registered a case against seven named and around 25 unidentified people including Iqra Hasan and started investigation.
In fact, after the Monu Kashyap murder case that took place on May 19 in Jasala village of Shamli district, the mother of the deceased had reached the DIG office demanding justice. MP Iqra Hasan and a large number of supporters were also present with him. It is alleged that during the demonstration, there was a jam on the road and a heated argument started with the police-administration. Seeing the situation worsening, the police detained Iqra Hasan and took her to the women’s police station, although she was released after some time.
The matter did not stop here. Angered by the arrest of her supporters, Iqra Hasan later reached Sadar Bazar police station and sat on a dharna there. During this time, he also had a dispute with police officers, many videos of which went viral on social media. In a video, Iqra Hasan was seen expressing her anger at the police and saying that she wants justice and the administration is trying to suppress the voice of the victim’s family.

The names of many people including former Minister of State Mangeram Kashyap are included in the FIR registered by the police. Police say that during the demonstration, law and order was affected and traffic was disrupted. Whereas Samajwadi Party is calling it an act of political revenge. Party leaders allege that the administration is working under pressure from the government to suppress the voice of the opposition. This entire incident has once again heated up the politics of Western Uttar Pradesh. Now everyone’s eyes are on the police investigation and the upcoming political rhetoric.
