CJP has appealed to the general public and its supporters to gather at the Central Park of Connaught Place on Friday and hoist the national flag.
New Delhi. Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Deepke has said that the police can take him into custody. He also claimed that police and spies were keeping an eye on his house. The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) announced earlier in the day that Central Park at Connaught Place will remain closed on October 16 and 17. Deepke asked the officials, how many places will you close?
CJP has appealed to the general public and its supporters to gather in the Central Park of Connaught Place on Friday and wave the national flag. This is part of their protest against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists.
Deepke alleged that vehicles without number plates were following him and Intelligence Bureau personnel took information from the watchman posted outside his house. He said, Delhi Police can take me into custody tonight or tomorrow morning, but I want to tell Narendra Modi that we are not afraid of this.
He said, all we are saying is to remove Gyanesh Kumar and appoint someone else. We are not saying that we want to change power. “All we are saying is to remove Gyanesh Kumar – who is not even listening to his fellow election commissioners – and appoint a new election commissioner in an independent and impartial manner,” Deepke said. Is this a crime?
