Police got big success in TCS Nashik case, Nida Khan absconding for 25 days arrested Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

New Delhi: Suspended TCS employee Nida Khan has been arrested by the police. She is the main accused in a sexual harassment case and was absconding for about 25 days. He has been arrested from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.

What is the whole matter?  

Let us tell you that this case pertains to a BPO unit associated with Tata Consultancy Services in Nashik. Many allegations of sexual harassment, mental exploitation and attempts at forced religious conversion were revealed here. Nida Khan was absconding since the case came to light. The police had deployed several teams across Maharashtra to search for him.

Nida is accused of trying to incite religious sentiments and helping those accused of rape and sexual exploitation. Investigating agencies claim that he pressurized a complainant to convert to Islam. Besides, the victims were also instigated not to complain against the accused.

Nida Khan’s anticipatory bail rejected 

According to media reports, Nida Khan had applied for anticipatory bail in Nashik court. But earlier this month the court rejected it. During the hearing, the government lawyer said that custodial interrogation is necessary. Digital evidence, statements of witnesses and connections outside Nashik have come to light in the case.

What did SIT tell in the court?   

According to the information received, the SIT formed on the orders of Nashik Police Commissioner is investigating this case. The SIT told the court that Nida tried to involve a complainant in religious rituals. She was asked to wear hijab and burqa. Religious material and mobile apps were also shared.

The government side alleges that there was a plan to change the name of the complainant. The co-accused had also kept the important documents of the victim with themselves. The scope of investigation has reached from Malegaon to Malaysia. It is suspected that he was also trapped by luring him with a job.

Lawyer’s claim- Nida is pregnant   

It is noteworthy that Nida Khan’s lawyer had told the court that she is pregnant and living in Mumbai. The defense argued that there is no specific law in Maharashtra to stop forced religious conversion. He had denied the allegations of forced conversion. At present the police is interrogating Nida.
