Lucknow.Yogi government is making new preparations for the development of villages in Uttar Pradesh. Now technology based planning will be promoted in about 58 thousand gram panchayats of the state. Under this, a development roadmap will be prepared based on the needs of the villages, available facilities and data from government schemes. The aim of the government is that the development plan of every gram panchayat should be made keeping in mind the actual problems and needs there.
For this, the Developed Gram Panchayat Plan (VGPP) portal has been prepared. Rural Development Commissioner Pramod Kumar Upadhyay has instructed all the District Magistrates to make this system effective. Under the scheme, officers and employees will be given training in two phases. First, training will take place at the state headquarters, while within the next one week, technical information will also be given to development block and gram panchayat level employees.
UP also made big figures in household and farmer registry
Work is also being done in the state in the matter of preparing digital records in rural areas. So far, more than 1.05 crore houses have been constructed and distributed under the Swamitva Scheme. Under the Farmer Registry, registration of more than 1.44 crore farmers has been completed.
Arrangements are being made to identify farmers and make information related to them available on a digital platform through Farmer Registry. This can facilitate in verifying eligibility for providing benefits of agricultural schemes. On the other hand, Gharauni is helping in organizing the records of properties of rural families.
Development plan will be made according to the needs of the villages
Under the new system, there will be emphasis on evidence based and saturation based planning in Gram Panchayats. That is, priorities for development work will be decided keeping in mind the condition of roads, drinking water, housing and other basic facilities in the village. Efforts will be made to prepare the schemes digitally and streamline their process through the VGPP portal.
After this initiative, thousands of gram panchayats of the state will get the help of technology in making development plans. However, its real impact will be visible after the training is completed and the schemes are implemented on the ground.
