Prayagraj: All preparations have been completed to conduct the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) Level-1 recruitment examination in a fair, transparent and systematic manner.
The North Central Railway (NCR) will conduct the CBT exam at 24 examination centers from August 3 to 25. Special arrangements have been made for the safety and convenience of the candidates. This information was provided by NCR Public Relations Officer Amit Malviya on Saturday.
He stated that security, transparency, and candidate convenience will be given top priority during the examination. Special arrangements have been made at all examination centers, including the deployment of railway officials, CCTV surveillance, and Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel.
He informed that the Computer Based Test (CBT) will be conducted from August 3 to August 25, 2026, in 48 shifts over a total of 16 exam days.
This recruitment drive will fill 22,195 positions across the country. Over 52.39 lakh candidates are registered for the exam at 335 centers in 144 cities.
Amit Malviya stated that a total of 28 examination centers have been set up within the jurisdiction of RRB Prayagraj. These centers include 25 in Prayagraj, Kanpur, Aligarh, Agra, Jhansi, and Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh, and three in Roorkee and Dehradun in Uttarakhand.
Through this recruitment process, selection will be made for 1,183 vacant posts in all three divisions and workshops of North Central Railway.
He said that 10 examination centers have been set up in Prayagraj, 4 in Kanpur, 2 in Aligarh, 7 in Agra, and 1 in Jhansi. Railway officials have been deployed as coordinators at each center, while two officials have been deployed at larger centers.
The Public Relations Officer said that to make the examination completely safe and transparent, 100 percent CCTV surveillance, control room arrangements and deployment of RPF personnel have been made at all the centres.
Adequate staff has been deployed to assist candidates and conduct the examination. All officers and staff involved in the examination have already received the necessary training.
He said that coordination has been established with the concerned district administration and police department to ensure law and order, traffic control and smooth movement of candidates during the examination.
Amit Malviya appealed to all the candidates to follow the instructions given in their e-call letter, reach the examination centre before the scheduled time and cooperate with the Railways in conducting the examination in a fair and transparent manner.
