Preparations for Sawan completed in Srikashi Vishwanath Dham, one crore devotees expected to come

Varanasi, 29 July. Preparations for the month of Shravan and Kanwar have been completed at Srikashi Vishwanath Temple in the religious city of Varanasi. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Vishwabhushan Mishra has expressed hope of about 1 crore devotees visiting Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham in Sawan.

CEO Vishwabhushan Mishra said – Special arrangements have been made for the devotees.

Vishwabhushan Mishra said during a special conversation regarding the preparations for Sawan, ‘Special arrangements have been made for the devotees in the month of Sawan in Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham. Special arrangements have been made to welcome and protect the devotees as well as to make their darshan easy and convenient. As per our Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), arrangements like zig-zag queue system, shady area, glucose-water facility and protection from rain have been made for the devotees.

If the crowd is less then the operation of Kashi Dwar will be started.

He told that before Sawan and every Monday, flowers are showered on the devotees. Keeping in view the safety of the devotees, all types of requests and protocol darshan and Kashi gate are currently banned. This step has been taken in view of the crowd. If the crowd is less then the operation of Kashi Dwar will be started.

Appeal to devotees coming from outside not to bring Kanwar water in plastic.

The CEO said that devotees will be able to have live darshan on all the social media handles of Srikashi Vishwanath. In the past years, 1 crore 65-70 lakh devotees come here to have darshan and worship at Kashi Vishwanath. This time 80 lakh to 1 crore devotees are expected to come. He said, polythene is completely banned in Kashi Dham, which the local people are completely following. Therefore, devotees coming from outside should not bring Kanwar water in plastic.

Meanwhile, on the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima, a large number of devotees reached the Ganga ghats in Varanasi since morning and took a dip of faith. Devotees performed prayers, chanted mantras and performed religious rituals after bathing in the Ganga. Keeping in mind the safety of the devotees, teams of water police and NDRF were deployed at the ghats.
