Sharmila won gold

He performed 9.48, 9.58, 9.81, 9.17, 9.37 and 9.60 meters in six attempts. The throw of 9.81 meters in the third attempt was also his season’s best. Ghana’s Jinabu Isah won the silver medal with a personal best throw of 8.65m, while India’s Shilpa Kanchugarkoppalu Shayla won the bronze medal with a personal best throw of 7.26m.

Sarvesh missed gold by a small margin

In the men’s high jump event, India’s Sarvesh Anil Kushare won the silver medal with a spectacular jump of 2.25 meters. Sarvesh and Romain Beckford of Jamaica both cleared the same height, but on the basis of countback rule, the gold medal went to the Jamaican player. Ajay Babu won silver in weightlifting

India’s Valluri Ajay Babu won the silver medal in the men’s 79 kg weightlifting event by lifting a total weight of 330 kg. He lifted 149 kg (games record) in snatch and 181 kg in clean and jerk.
