President Trump’s bad words… Called India-China ‘hell’, targeted on birthright citizenship
Washington. US President Donald Trump has made controversial remarks about some countries including India and China amid the ongoing debate over birthright citizenship, which has sparked a new political discussion. Trump, while sharing a letter on his social media platform Truth Social, used offensive words for these countries and criticized several US citizenship laws, including birthright citizenship.
The letter claims that recruitment in California’s technology sector is dominated by people from India and China, although no evidence has been presented in support of this. The main topic of the letter is the policy of birthright citizenship, under which children born in America get citizenship. It has been alleged that by using this provision, migrants also bring other members of their family into the country.
“A child born here immediately becomes a citizen and then they bring their entire family here from China, India or any other ‘hell’ in the world,” the letter said. The language of this letter has attracted people’s attention. The letter also said that the decision on this issue should be made by public opinion rather than by courts or lawyers. Citing a social media survey, it has been claimed that the majority is in favor of a change in this policy, and has also expressed distrust in the judicial process.
The letter also criticizes the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and accuses it of supporting policies that allegedly benefit illegal immigrants. Apart from this, the letter also alleges that migrants misuse health services and welfare schemes, thereby putting additional burden on taxpayers.
It also mentions alleged irregularities in states like California. The letter also refers to the ongoing proceedings in the US Supreme Court and calls the constitutional interpretation inconsistent with the current circumstances.
