Cricketer Prithvi Shaw and influencer-actor Akriti Agarwal have officially called off their engagement, just months after announcing their relationship in March 2026.
Akriti took to Instagram to share a statement announcing their mutual decision to part ways, citing differing future goals and current circumstances. In her emotional note, she shared that while they care deeply for each other, their paths are no longer meant to align.
She requested privacy and urged fans and media to avoid unnecessary speculation or negative narratives.
The separation follows months of online rumours, which originally flared up when Akriti posted a cryptic message regarding loyalty. Although she previously clarified that the post was misunderstood and that their relationship was intact, her latest statement confirms the final split.
On an Instagram Story posted during Ganesh Visarjan, she expressed her commitment to prioritising her personal growth in the upcoming chapter of her life.
Following the announcement, both have cleaned up their social media profiles; Akriti removed their joint engagement photos, while Prithvi wiped his profile back to a single post from 2016.
