Protestors met Nadda on reservation reform, important meeting will be held again on 7th September

An important meeting was held in New Delhi on Thursday between Union Health Minister JP Nadda and representatives of the team that protested at Jantar Mantar on August 21 demanding reform in reservation. Harsh Dubey, Ran Bahadur Singh Chauhan and Mrityunjay Pathak attended the meeting. Both sides described the talks as positive and cordial. Now the next meeting will be held on 7th September.

Giving information about the meeting on social media platform He indicated that the representatives would meet again soon.

'Positive initiative in the interest of all society'

Harsh Dubey also described the meeting as an important step towards dialogue. He said the delegation briefly discussed issues related to the August 21 protest with Nadda. The team's effort is to reach a positive and equitable decision in the interest of the entire society through further negotiations.

He clarified that the movement is not against any class. Its objective is to raise the demand for equal opportunities, equitable system and necessary reforms in the national interest in a democratic and peaceful manner.

'Whoever needs it should get reservation'

Talking to the media after the meeting, the representatives said that after the participation of a large number of people in the movement, assurance was received from the central leadership to hold talks. He said that reforms in the reservation system were discussed in detail and he believes that those who really need it should get the benefits of reservation.

The representatives also made it clear that they never demanded abolition of reservation. His movement is about reform in reservation. He appealed to the people to have faith in the negotiation process.

Earlier on August 21, there was a big demonstration at Jantar Mantar demanding reservation reform. After this, on August 22, Uttar Pradesh Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak met the representatives and assured to hold a meeting with the Union Ministers. Now all eyes are on the proposed meeting of 7th September.
