The deadline for applying for the sale of remaining houses on a ‘first come first served’ basis has now been extended. Due to technical difficulties encountered in the portal, this deadline has been extended till May 13 to give time to the applicants. So the buyers have got a big relief.

Houses are available in Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad and Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority areas in this scheme. As per the original plan, the application process was to start from 11:30 AM on May 4. However, due to technical glitches in our government web portal, many applicants faced difficulties in obtaining necessary documents, especially domicile and income proofs. Therefore, considering the delay in submission of applications, the administration decided to extend the deadline.

Now the application process will continue from 4th May to 13th May, interested applicants can apply online by visiting MHADA BookMyHome Portal. According to MHADA officials, the extension was necessary due to difficulties faced by applicants such as delays in document verification, technical glitches on the portal and hurdles during submission. Meanwhile, the application deadline for MHADA lottery in Mumbai has also been extended. Now applicants from Mumbai can apply till 14th May and the result of this draw will be announced on 5th June. The scheme, announced in March 2026, includes a total of 2,640 affordable houses, of which about 66 percent are still under construction.
