Punjab News: The Punjab government has taken a big step towards resolving the demands of the employees associated with Revenue Kanungo Association and Revenue Patwar Union. finance minister Harpal Singh Cheema Has directed the Revenue Department to form a special joint committee. Representatives of Revenue Department, Finance Department, Advocate General Office and Revenue Kanungo Association will be included in this committee.

Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema and Revenue Minister in Chandigarh Hardeep Singh Mundian Held a high level meeting with representatives of Revenue Kanungo Association and Revenue Patwar Union. The main objective of the meeting was to find quick solution to the service and cadre related problems of the employees by mutual consent.

The government clarified that the legitimate demands of the employees will be swiftly processed and cases requiring financial approval will be sent to the Finance Department without delay.

Immediate action should be taken on legitimate administrative demands

Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema has appointed Additional Chief Secretary-cum-Financial Commissioner Revenue Anurag Verma Instructed that the legitimate administrative demands of the union should be resolved as soon as possible.

He also said that the proposals which impose financial burden on the government should be immediately sent to the Finance Department, so that the necessary process and approvals can be carried forward rapidly.

Demands placed from salary to vacant posts

During the meeting, representatives of Revenue Kanungo Association submitted a formal demand letter to the government. In this, many issues related to cadre and service conditions of employees were raised.

These mainly include Cadre Status and Pay Parity, Stationary Allowance, Filling up of Vacant Posts and Cadre Restructuring Such demands are included. These issues will be considered in detail in the proposed joint committee.

Gave assurance of protection of employee interests

Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema and Revenue Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian assured the delegation that the Punjab Government is working actively to improve the administrative system and also to protect the interests and service conditions of the Revenue Officials working at the grassroots level.
