Jalandhar. There has been an attack outside the Border Security Force (BSF) headquarters in Jalandhar, Punjab and an army camp in Amritsar. After this, politics has also heated up in Punjab. Chief Minister of the state and holding the responsibility of Home Department, Bhagwant Mann has said that BJP is behind these blasts. He said in Sri Anandpur Sahib that investigation into these blasts is going on. This is BJP’s preparation for Punjab elections. CM should give evidence or resign: BJP

At the same time, BJP has given a strong reaction to this statement of CM Bhagwant Mann. The BJP has asked the CM to provide evidence of his allegations. BJP also said that if CM Mann has said this without any proof then he should resign. Union Minister of State Ravneet Bittu challenged Bhagwant Mann and said that if he has the guts, he should show it by filing an FIR against BJP and him.

Separate statements of CM and DGP

On the other hand, Punjab BJP President Sunil Jakhar said that the bomb blasts in Jalandhar and Amritsar are a matter of serious concern, but even more worrying is the statement of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. While on one hand the DGP of Punjab is pointing towards the involvement of Pakistan’s ISI behind these incidents, on the other hand the Chief Minister, motivated by politics, is giving irresponsible statements. His statements clearly reflect his nervousness and fear of losing his chair. On the other hand, BJP MP Sambit Patra said that this statement of Mann has come at the behest of Arvind Kejriwal. He said that the statements of the state CM and DGP are different. He said that Chief Minister Mann’s statement is condemnable.

DGP said- ISI’s handiwork

At the same time, on both the blasts, DGP Gaurav Yadav said that we suspect that since the anniversary of Operation Sindoor is near, it is a part of the conspiracy of Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI to spread unrest in Punjab. ISI is suspected to be behind this. They are creating a false narrative and trying to show that there is unrest in Punjab. DGP said that I would like to say that Punjab is the most peaceful state in the country. A handful of elements of Pakistan’s ISI are trying to spoil the situation in Punjab. We are going through a proxy war. We keep getting inputs continuously and we keep acting on them. Punjab is a frontline state. No one has made any claim regarding this incident yet, hence, we are investigating it.
