‘Punjabis pushed again’ Arvind Kejriwal’s first reaction on 7 AAP MPs including Raghav Chadha joining BJP

New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) suffered a major political blow on Friday, when seven Rajya Sabha MPs, including senior party leader Raghav Chadha, announced to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). After this development, the first reaction of party chief Arvind Kejriwal has come out. He said in a line on social media platform "BJP has once again pushed the Punjabis."

Why did Raghav Chaddha leave AAP?

Raghav Chadha issued a press statement saying that he gave 15 years of his life to the Aam Aadmi Party, but now the party has deviated from its original path. He said that the party has now moved away from honest politics and has become compromise-oriented.

Chadha claimed that he was the right person in the wrong party, so now he has decided to get closer to the public. Along with him, Ashok Mittal, Sandeep Pathak and four other MPs also decided to join BJP.

Can get a big post in BJP

According to sources, after joining BJP, Raghav Chadha can be given a ministerial post in the central government. However, no official announcement has been made on this yet. If this happens then it will be considered a big political strategy of BJP.

Sharp attack by AAP leaders

After this incident, Aam Aadmi Party leaders openly expressed their displeasure. Attacking Raghav Chadha, MP Sanjay Singh said that the party gave him every respect, but he betrayed him. He alleged that Chadha has joined BJP out of greed for power. Other party leaders have also called it an opportunistic move.

Internal strife was already going on

News of differences within AAP were already emerging. Some time ago, Arvind Kejriwal had removed Raghav Chadha from the post of deputy leader of the party in Rajya Sabha. Ashok Mittal was given the responsibility in his place. Then people close to Chadha had said that efforts were being made to suppress him in the party. Now his joining BJP has given further strength to these claims.

Big impact before Punjab elections

This entire incident has happened at a time when Punjab Assembly elections are to be held next year. AAP is preparing to return to power under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.

Raghav Chadha was considered an important face of the party’s last victory in Punjab. In such a situation, his departure is being considered a big loss for AAP. Its impact may be clearly visible on the politics of Punjab in the coming days.
