On April 17, while congratulating Harivansh Narayan Singh on being elected unopposed as the Deputy Chairman of the Rajya Sabha for the third consecutive time, Chadha targeted his own party. He said, “The leader of the party I come from (Sanjay Singh) is not present in the House. The newly appointed Deputy Leader of my own party (Ashok Mittal) is also not here.” After this he said sarcastically, “I am the recently removed Deputy Leader and I am present in the House. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to speak.”

Praise for Deputy Chairman and Chairman

In his speech, Chadha praised Harivansh Narayan Singh and said that his relationship with him has been “sweet and sour”, but it will become completely “sweeter” during this tenure. He also praised the Chairman and Vice President CP Radhakrishnan. Chadha said that after his arrival, now more MPs are getting a chance to speak during Zero Hour than before. After this statement, the internal disputes of AAP have come to the fore even more openly, which may impact the party’s politics in the future.
