Rahul Gandhi, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, on Friday (August 7) posted a 53-second video on social media, raising questions over the E20 fuel policy and alleging corruption in its implementation.
In the video he posted, Rahul opens a car’s fuel tank, lifts the cap, and looks inside. He then looks at the camera and says, “The E20 issue is a very big issue. Daal mein kaala nahin, puri daal hi kaali hai. (We usually say there’s something fishy, but in this case, the whole thing is fishy).”
‘There’s so much corruption’
Rahul continued speaking, saying the problem today is there’s so much corruption.
“Brothers and sisters, this is a matter of sequencing. In any campaign, we have to decide the sequence of events. Our problem right now is there’s so much corruption. There’s a huge line in what we have to see.”

The Congress leader alleged that E20 is destroying vehicles and lives, and that people were being stolen from.
‘Destroying people’s cars, their lives’
He said, “This is destroying people’s cars, destroying people’s scooters, destroying people’s lives, and literally, is stealing directly from them.”
Rahul promised that the Congress party is going to highlight this issue in every forum.
