'Rahul Gandhi has been reduced to memes and reels…', why is the opposition leader on BJP's target?

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has criticized Rahul Gandhi's 'Smash the Patriarchy' slogan. Rahul Gandhi had given this slogan in the 'Students' Echo' program, which has not gone down well with the BJP leaders. Rahul Gandhi had said that women must come out of the patriarchal structure, their identity is their own, not that of men. From Union Minister Giriraj Singh to MP Bansuri Swaraj have criticized this statement.

Rahul Gandhi had also criticized Manusmriti. BJP leaders say that Rahul Gandhi only talks about memes and reels, he does not talk about ground issues. BJP also raised questions about Rahul Gandhi's record related to women empowerment.

'Rahul Gandhi gives statements for memes and reels'

Bansuri Swaraj, MP, BJP:-
Rahul Gandhi ji neither has any vision nor any positive agenda. Therefore, whatever their research team writes on the slip of paper and gives them, they use the same to mislead the youth and the voters of the country. This does not suit the leader of the opposition. It seems that Rahul Gandhi now gives statements only for memes and reels.

Rahul Gandhi is also surrounded by Meloni

Bansuri Swaraj also attacked Gandhi over his alleged statements about Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni and said that these words were unbecoming of the leader of the opposition. Sushma Swaraj also attacked Congress's stand on the Nari Shakti Vandan Act, which provides for 33 percent reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and state assemblies.

What did Giriraj Singh tell?

Union Minister Giriraj Singh said, 'Smash the Patriarchy' will happen when Rahul Gandhi gives Muslim women the right to shave the beard of this mullah who is cutting the hair of these women.

'Smash the Patriarchy' becoming a noose?

Bansuri Swaraj, MP, BJP:-
Rahul Gandhi ji wants to limit women only to voters who vote at polling stations. He does not want India's daughters to become the shapers of the country's future. He talks about the thinking related to Manusmriti. I want to tell Rahul Gandhi ji that you are showing selective anger. Our Constitution teaches equal respect for all religions. Rahul Gandhi ji definitely shows the Constitution, but never bothers to open it and read it. Why this selective outrage? Why does your campaign to end patriarchy change its color on the basis of religion?

What else did Bansuri Swaraj say?

Bansuri Swaraj said, 'On August 22, opposition leader Rahul Gandhi tried to create a new false narrative in the country. He talks about 'dismantling the patriarchy' – a sentiment I fully support. However, I want to ask Rahul Gandhi, do you limit the slogan of 'ending patriarchy' only to the platform of Pune? And do you keep promoting political patriarchy within your Congress party?

Bansuri Swaraj said, 'Rahul Gandhi neither has any vision nor any positive agenda. As a result, he tries to mislead the youth and respectable voters of the country by using the notes given by his research team. Let's take a look at the report card of the Congress party. After all, if anyone really wants to end patriarchy, then Rahul Gandhi should start it from the Congress Party itself.

Bansuri Swaraj said, 'Rahul Gandhi gave this statement on the stage of Pune on 22 August; Yet, just 10 days ago, he took part in a crude joke on a female Prime Minister, specifically Giorgia Meloni, the current Prime Minister of our friendly country Italy. It was like listening to guys talk in the locker room. He resorted to cheap gestures and sensationalism to garner discussion on social media.
