Rahul Gandhi said – Wants to steal OBC’s share in the name of women’s reservation – Prime Minister Modi

Bureau Prayagraj- Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday alleged that PM Modi wants to steal the share of Other Backward Classes (OBC) in the name of women’s reservation, which is an ‘anti-national activity’. Rahul Gandhi, in a video message released a day before the introduction of the Constitutional Amendment Bill related to women’s reservation in the Lok Sabha, said that if the government wants to implement women’s reservation,

So it can implement the current Nari Shakti Vandan Act and the delimitation should also be based on the new census, because it will contain the data of OBC population. The former Congress president said that his party fully supports women’s reservation, but the government wants to do something else in its name.

“Now, huge dishonesty is being done,” he claimed. The Prime Minister does not want this decision (women’s reservation) to be taken on the basis of caste census and new census. The Prime Minister is snatching your (OBC) participation from you. He wants the 2011 census to be used, which does not include the numbers of Other Backward Classes. They want to snatch your (OBC) participation.

Rahul Gandhi said, “Prime Minister Modi, people of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and Bharatiya Janata Party are nervous because the caste census data has started coming. They have come to know the size of backward population. They don’t want you (OBC) to get participation according to population. This is an anti-national activity.

The Congress leader termed the proposed delimitation as “dangerous” and said, “The truth is that if what Modi ji wants happens, it will cause huge losses to the southern states, small western states and the northeastern states. This is an anti-national activity.” He said, ”Our stand is that you (Prime Minister) should do (delimitation) on the basis of the census taking place in 2026 and not on the basis of 2011 census, because OBC data is not there in it.”

Rahul Gandhi said, “If you (Prime Minister) want to implement the Women’s Reservation Act, then you have an Act lying with you, implement it.” We will fully support. But we will not allow you to work against Other Backward Classes, South Indian states and small territories.

He said, “Modi ji, I think you want to give a message to the country that you are pro-women. I know you’re scared of the Epstein file. Rahul Gandhi said, “You want seats to increase as per your wish, delimitation as per your wish and OBCs to get nothing. We won’t let you do that.”
