New Delhi. Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi reached Parliament Street Police Station on Friday to lodge an FIR with 19-year-old Sahil Lochab. Let us inform you that Sahil Lochab was allegedly injured by pellet gun during Cockroach Janata Party's 'Chalo Sansad' march on July 20. At the same time, Sahil alleged that Delhi Police has refused to register a First Information Report (FIR) on his complaint.

Congress sources say that on the 14th, Sahil Lochav (who was injured during the protest at Jantar Mantar) went to Delhi Police with his lawyers and gave a written complaint. He declined to provide the I/O number.

Congress sources say that on 17th another attempt was made through email and phone. Still no I/O number given. No acknowledgment was even given.

Now, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi is emphasizing this point along with the victim. DCP is still not giving case officer and I/O numbers. Since this is a cognizable offence, an FIR should also be registered, but Delhi Police is not doing so. Let us tell you that Rahul Gandhi is insisting for I/O and FIR.

Amit Shah and Delhi Police should listen, this dictatorship will not be tolerated anymore: Congress

Congress Party wrote on X Post that Amit Shah fired pellet gun on the children of the country, in which Sahil suffered serious eye injury due to the pellet. Sahil and his mother were continuously going to the police and demanding to register an FIR, which the police was ignoring.

Therefore, today opposition leader Rahul Gandhi along with Sahil and his mother met police officials and sought information about the investigation. Investigation number has not been given on Sahil's complaint, so that FIR can be registered. Sahil's MLC (Medico Legal Case) report has also not been given from AIIMS, which can be used in the complaint and FIR. This is sheer injustice.

Amit Shah and Delhi Police should listen, this dictatorship will no longer be tolerated. We will continue to fight with full force for justice for the students.
