Rahul, Priyanka and other Congress leaders released from custody after protests outside PMO

New Delhi, 21 July. Several opposition leaders, including Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, were detained by Delhi Police during protests outside Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s New Delhi residence (PMO), who were released late on Tuesday night.

In fact, Congress leaders led by Rahul and party president Mallikarjun Kharge protested outside the Prime Minister’s residence on Lok Kalyan Marg. They were demanding the Prime Minister’s resignation over the police action against students during the CJP-led protest on Monday.

“My brother Rahul Gandhi is very strong,” Priyanka said outside the Mandir Marg police station, where she was detained. He will bear everything. But what happened to the students yesterday was completely wrong. These youth are the future of the country.

The Congress leader demanded that the government should bring a bill to improve the education system and stop paper leaks. He said, ‘The government should discuss and listen to the students. The complaints of the students are legitimate.

Along with both the leaders, many MPs and leaders of the party also participated in this protest, who raised slogans against the Prime Minister. When Union Minister Jitendra Singh failed to pacify the protesting Congress leaders, heavy police force was deployed at the spot and Rahul along with his sister and party leader Priyanka along with several other party leaders were taken away in police vehicles.
