Now trains will not be late in Jharkhand due to removal of dead bodies, special system implemented

A new system has been implemented in Ranchi Railway Division to reduce the delay in removing the dead body after runover on the railway track. In many cases, the operation of passenger and goods trains was affected due to dead bodies lying on the tracks for three to four hours or more. Now, for quick action in such a situation, Railways has issued a joint procedure order.

According to the new system, the station master will be the first to be informed about a dead body being found on the track. After this, the station master will give information to the operating control, RPF and the concerned GRP or local police. The RPF team will reach the spot and coordinate with the police.

Railway workers will take the dead body safely to the side of the track

If there is a delay in the arrival of police or GRP and railway operations are being disrupted due to the dead body, then in the presence of RPF the railway personnel will be able to safely shift the dead body to the side of the track. The dead body will be removed only as much as is necessary for the safe movement of trains. The same procedure will be followed in the block section also.

The station master will immediately take the injured to the hospital.

Railways has also given instructions to keep the evidence safe. RPF will record photographs and videos of the incident site. The condition of the dead body and its surroundings will be recorded and efforts will be made to move it as little as possible. Will monitor the dead body until the police arrive. If a person is found injured, the first priority will be to save life rather than removing the body. The station master will immediately arrange for an ambulance and take action to take the injured to the hospital.

Rail operations expected to return to normal

Railways will also be able to take help from local people if needed. However, it has been clarified in the order that no pressure will be created on railway workers or local people in this process. With the new system, the track is expected to be cleared soon after runover incidents and rail operations will return to normal. This will directly benefit the passengers and the delays caused by stopping trains for long periods will be reduced.
