New Delhi. The scorching heat continues in North India. The sun has been shining so brightly since morning that it is becoming difficult to go out. The mercury is crossing 40 in many states including Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Bihar, Haryana. The Meteorological Department has said that heat wave is going to continue in North India, Central India and Eastern India for the next five days. However, in the meantime a rain alert has also been issued, which may provide some relief. There will be rain in many states including UP, Punjab, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir.
Moreover, isolated to widespread rainfall along with thunderstorm and lightning is likely over parts of North East and East India during this week. North-eastern India will also receive heavy to very heavy rain for several days this week.
Rain in Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura
Talking about Northeast India, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder, lightning and strong winds with a speed of 50 km per hour in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura on April 23. The situation will be similar in Assam and Meghalaya during 23rd and 25th April to 29th April. There is a possibility of lightning in Arunachal Pradesh during April 23 and April 25-29. Similar situation will prevail in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during April 24-27.

There will be heavy rain at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh during April 23 and 25-29, Assam, Meghalaya during April 25-29, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura on April 28 and 29. There is an alert of heavy rain at some places in Arunachal Pradesh during 27-29 April, Assam, Meghalaya during 26-29 April.

Whereas in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh during 26-28 April, there is going to be moderate rain with thunder, lightning and strong winds in Uttar Pradesh on 28, 29 April.
