Raipur News: Under Good Governance Tihar 2026, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai today reached village Sarodhi of Chhuikhadan development block of Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai district, where he got to see a unique scene of enthusiasm, intimacy and belongingness among the villagers. There was a wave of happiness in the village with the arrival of the Chief Minister and a large number of villagers gathered to see and meet him. The women of the women’s self-help group of the village welcomed the Chief Minister by presenting Mahua, Char, Mangoes and Rakhis, while the school children expressed their happiness and respect by presenting bouquets of Gulmohar and Kaner flowers prepared with their own hands. This welcome became a living reflection of rural culture and simplicity.

Under the shade of jackfruit and gulmohar trees in the premises of the former secondary school of village Sarodhi, the Chief Minister sat on a cot and set up a chaupal and interacted directly with the villagers. In this comfortable and intimate environment, he said that through Good Governance Tihar, we have come among you to know about your well-being, listen to your joys and sorrows and understand the ground implementation of the schemes. This campaign will run from May 1 to June 10, in which the government itself will reach your doorstep. The Chief Minister clarified that good governance is a symbol of accountability and transparency of the Tihar government. Its objective is to ensure that the schemes of governance are not limited to paper only, but their real benefits reach the last person of the society. He said that last year also similar problems were collected and resolved through solution camps and this year also the same process is being implemented in a more effective manner.

Chief Minister Sai said that his government has been in power for only 28 months, but most of the promises have been fulfilled under Modi’s guarantee. He said that 18 lakh Prime Minister houses have been sanctioned in the state, paddy is being purchased from farmers at the rate of Rs 3100 per quintal and the outstanding bonus of two years has also been given. He said that the rate of tendu leaf collection has been increased from Rs 4000 to Rs 5500 per standard bag, which will increase the income of the people of Vananchal area. Besides, people are also being provided the opportunity to visit religious places through Ramlala Darshan Scheme and Tirtha Yatra Darshan Scheme. During Chaupal, the villagers especially drew attention towards the problem of drinking water, on which the Chief Minister immediately instructed the concerned officials to improve the system. He gave a clear message to the officials that public problems should be resolved on priority and in a time bound manner.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced many important development works for village Sarodhi and surrounding areas. These include establishment of ration PDS shop, new Gram Panchayat building, construction of a new building for pre-secondary school. Along with this, approval was given for widening and strengthening of Gandai to Bakarkatta road, construction of road from Tendubhatha to Jom Otebandh, construction of bridge over Magurda drain on Salhewara-Pandarapani road, deployment of 108 ambulances in PHC Bakarkatta, renovation of Bakarkatta to Navagaon road and 33 KV sub station in the area was approved. During this, Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary Subodh Kumar Singh, Special Secretary Shri Rajat Bansal and a large number of public representatives and villagers were present.
