‘If CBI had not come, I would have been encountered’, said Raj Singh after being released in Subhendu Adhikari PA murder case.
Shubhendu Adhikari PA murder case: Uttar Pradesh youth Raj Singh, who was arrested by Kolkata Police on the basis of mistaken identity in the murder of Shubhendu Adhikari’s PA, has finally been released from jail. Raj Singh was caught on May 11 with the help of Ayodhya Police. The police suspected that he was the accused in the case, but later investigation revealed that the real accused was someone else.

Actually, the police had earlier detained two accused Vicky Maurya and Mayank Mishra from Buxar. After interrogating him, the police reached Raj Singh, who made the reel on social media, and arrested him. Later CBI caught the real accused Rajkumar Singh from Chhapar Toll of Muzaffarnagar. After this, Raj Singh’s innocence was proved and he was released.

Raj Singh expressed his pain after coming out of jail. Raj said that he was being constantly threatened. He claims that if CBI had not investigated, he might have lost his life. He said that during the interrogation he was put under a lot of pressure and he felt that he was trapped in a bigger conspiracy.
Raj Singh said that the CCTV footage provided by his family and the receipt of the kurta purchased from a shop played an important role in proving his innocence. He thanked the media and CBI, but also said that he is a member of Kshatriya Mahasabha but his support was expected in difficult times, but he did not come forward.
