Rajasthan became the last team to reach the playoffs of IPL 2026 by defeating MI, won the match by 30 runs in Wankhede.

MI vs RR 69th Match Highlight IPL 2026: The 69th match of IPL 2026 was played between Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians at Wankhede. By defeating Mumbai by 30 runs in this match, Rajasthan has become the fourth and last team to reach the playoffs this season. Earlier, Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya had won the toss and decided to bowl.

At the same time, Rajasthan, batting first, set a huge target of 206 runs in front of MI. In response, Hardik Pandya’s team could score 175 runs at the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. Accordingly, RR won the do or die match by 30 runs.

No Rajasthan batsman played a big innings against MI, but still the team managed to score 200+. Mumbai Indians bowlers gave two big blows to Rajasthan in the beginning in the form of Yashasvi Jaswal and Vaibhav Suryavanshi. The team suffered a setback of two wickets at the score of 33 runs. Then Yashasvi Jaiswal returned to the pavilion after scoring 27 runs and Vaibhav Suryavanshi after scoring only 4 runs. After this, on the score of 54 runs, RR got the third big blow in the form of captain Riyan Parag. Parag scored 14 runs.

There was a 45-run partnership between Dhruv Jurel and Dasun Shanaka for the fourth wicket. The team got the fourth blow in the form of Dasun Shanaka on the team’s score of 99 runs. He became the victim of run out. Then the team continued to suffer setbacks at regular intervals in the form of Dhruv Jurel, Devonon Ferreira and Shubham Dubey. Jurel scored 38 runs, Dasun Shanaka scored 29 runs, Joffra Archer scored 32 runs and Ravindra Jadeja remained unbeaten after scoring 19 runs.

Chahar and Shardul took 2-2 wickets

For Mumbai Indians, Deepak Chahar and Shardul Thakur got the maximum 2-2 wickets in this match. Also Will Jacques, A.M. Ghazanfar and Carbin Boss got 1 wicket each. Ghazanfar scored the most runs for Mumbai Indians. He spent 45 runs in 3 overs with an economy of 15.

Mumbai Indians’ batting was disappointing

The batsmen could not show their mettle for Mumbai Indians, who came to chase the target of 206 runs given by RR. The bats of batsmen like Rohit Sharma, Ryan Rickleton, Naman Dheer and Tilak Verma remained completely silent. Rohit Sharma could not even open his account. At the same time, Rickleton returned to the pavilion after scoring 12 runs, Naman Dheer 6 and Tilak Verma scored 3 runs.

Surya’s half-century innings went in vain

Suryakumar Yadav scored the most runs for MI against RR at Wankhede. He played a half-century inning of 60 runs in 42 balls with the help of 4 fours and 3 sixes, but this inning was also not enough for the team to win. Whereas captain Hardik Pandya played a short inning of 34 runs in 15 balls and Will Jacques played a short inning of 33 runs in 18 balls.

Joffra Archer took 3 wickets

Joffra Archer took maximum 3 wickets for Rajasthan. He made Rohit Sharma, Naman Dheer and captain Hardik Pandya his victims. Apart from this, Nandre Burger, Brijesh Sharma and Yash Raj Punja got 2-2 wickets.
