Director Rajkumar Hirani, who is called the ‘Content King’ of the cinema world, is now all set to enter the world of OTT. He has released the teaser of his popular web series ‘Pritam Aur Pedro’, which is getting a lot of love from the audience. The show will stream on Jio Hotstar from July 3. The teaser is so creative and funny that it is being discussed everywhere on social media.

Introducing the characters in a strange way: Rajkumar Hirani shared the post on his social media and wrote, “Pritam and Pedro are coming to hack your attention.” The biggest feature of the teaser is its style, where all the characters have been introduced through a rhyme. Arshad Warsi plays the role of ‘Pritam’ in the show, while Rajkumar Hirani’s son Veer will be seen playing the role of ‘Pedro’ in the series. Apart from these, veteran actors like Mona Singh, Vikrant Massey and Boman Irani are also going to be seen in important roles. In the teaser, Boman Irani is shown teaching in a classroom, which looks quite interesting.

Complicated story and two different styles: Although the teaser has not revealed the entire story of the series, the indications are clear that it is a comedy-drama. It is the story of two police officers, who get into trouble while solving the case. The working methods of these two are completely different, one is old and traditional, while the other is tech-savvy and uses modern technologies. The conflict between these two while solving the crime makes the series even more interesting.

Why made a web series? Rajkumar Hirani believes that ‘Pritam Aur Pedro’ has a lot of humour, warmth and madness. He told that in comparison to the film, in the long format of the web series, he has got more opportunity to explore the journey of his characters in detail. It is clear from the response the teaser is getting that the audience is liking this new style of Raju Hirani very much. Fans on YouTube are calling him ‘legend’ and ‘genius’.
