The festival of Raksha Bandhan was celebrated with enthusiasm and pomp at various places in Naini area on Friday. Since morning, there was hustle and bustle regarding the festival in the markets and major roads. Sisters tied Rakhi on the wrists of their brothers and wished for their long life and happiness and prosperity.

The brothers also gave gifts to their sisters and pledged to protect them. There was an atmosphere of enthusiasm throughout the day in the area regarding Rakshabandhan. People celebrated the festival of Rakshabandhan with traditional customs in various areas including Hanuman Nagar, Station Road, Cotton Mill, PAC Colony, Yamunanagar Gali, Naini Bazaar. In many families, sisters reached their brothers' homes and tied Rakhi, while sisters and brothers living far away wished each other on the festival through phone and video calls. Due to Rakshabandhan, there was a lot of crowd in the markets. There was constant movement of people at the shops selling Rakhi, sweets and gifts. Rakshabandhan, the festival of love and affection between brothers and sisters, was celebrated with enthusiasm in the entire Naini area.
