Actor Ram Charan celebrated his father and Telugu cinema superstar Chiranjeevi completing 48 years in the film industry, describing his journey as a lasting source of inspiration for the family.
Marking the milestone, Ram Charan shared an emotional message for his father on social media and recalled the beginning of Chiranjeevi's cinematic journey as “the day that changed everything” for him and their family.
“48 years since you began your journey in cinema, Nanna. Every day, we think of that day that changed everything for you and our family. I am grateful for everything you have done and to the audience for the constant love and support they have given you. Your journey will always be an inspiration to us,” Ram Charan wrote.
The RRRR The actor also expressed gratitude to Chiranjeevi's audiences for their enduring affection and said he was looking forward to celebrating his father's 50th year in cinema.
Chiranjeevi made his first screen appearance in Pranaam Khareedu in 1978. As he completed 48 years in the industry on Tuesday, the actor also penned a note thanking the producers, directors, co-actors, technical teams and fans who had been part of his journey.
“In this long journey, to every producer who trusted me and gave me opportunities, to every director who discovered new facets of the actor in me, to the actors, technical experts who toiled day and night behind every one of my films, to each and every one of you—my heartfelt gratitude,” Chiranjeevi said.
He credited their collective support for his position in the film industry and said the love of his fans remained more valuable to him than his professional achievements and honors.
“More valuable than all those honors… is the place you have given me in your hearts,” he said, thanking fans who had regarded him as a member of their families.
Chiranjeevi added that while “Chiranjeevi” was the name he adopted when he entered cinema, the love of his fans had transformed it into his “eternal identity”.
