Ram temple offering theft case: Lawyer will not fight the case on behalf of the accused, warned of agitation, know the reason…?

Ayodhya. Lawyers in Ayodhya have decided on Monday not to represent the accused arrested in the case of theft of offerings in Ram temple in the court. This decision was taken in a meeting of Bar Association Faizabad. At the Bar Association meeting on Monday, the lawyers also decided that if any of its members tries to fight the case of the accused in the Ram Mandir case in court, a fine of Rs 5 lakh will be imposed on him.
In the Bar Association meeting, lawyers strongly demanded that Champat Rai, Anil Mishra and Gopal Rao should leave Ayodhya. He warned of agitation if this did not happen. Ayodhya lawyers reiterated their historic decision of not contesting the case of the accused arrested in the case of alleged embezzlement of offerings in the Ram temple. The Faizabad Bar Association had taken a similar decision in 2005, when the accused in the terrorist attack on Ram Temple were produced in the Faizabad court.
Bar Association Secretary Shailendra Jaiswal said, the theft of temple offerings has hurt the sentiments of all of us. Faizabad lawyers have agreed not to fight the case on behalf of the arrested accused. The President of the Bar Association and the General Assembly of the Bar have taken a decision in this matter. After this further strategy will be prepared.
Faizabad Bar Association President Kalika Mishra had said on Sunday that the final decision not to contest the case against the accused in the case of alleged theft of offerings in the Ram temple will be taken in the general meeting of the proposed organization on Monday. He had told that in the year 2005 also the lawyers of Ayodhya had taken a similar decision when it was decided not to represent the accused in the terrorist attack on the Ram Janmabhoomi complex.
