Ram Temple Offering Theft: Trust confirms resignation of Champat Rai and Anil Mishra, says all items including silver bricks, jewelery are safe

Lucknow. Questions are continuously being raised regarding the case of theft of offerings in Ram temple. General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust Champat Rai and Trust member Anil Mishra have tendered their resignation. This has been confirmed by Trust Treasurer Swami Govinddev Giri. On behalf of the Trust, it was said that the Trust will consider this resignation in its upcoming meeting. Along with this, it was said that silver bricks, jewelery and other items are safe.

Swami Govinddev Giri, Treasurer of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, said that, we are shocked, hurt and extremely saddened by the incidents heard in the last few days in Shri Ram Temple (Ayodhya). We, who serve here as representatives of all Ram devotees and Ram Sevaks, are committed to a fair investigation and to reassure the Ram devotees.

Resignation letter has been received from Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra (Trust) General Secretary Champat Rai ji and Trustee Anil Mishra ji. The Trust will consider this in its upcoming meeting. The Trust assures those devotees who have personally handed over silver bricks, jewelery etc. to the Trust officials for offering in the service of Lord Shri Ram, that those items are available with secure account.

On the request of the Trust regarding the incident of money received from the donation boxes of the temple, Uttar Pradesh. On the basis of the interim report received from the SIT constituted by the government, the Trust has lodged an FIR and legal proceedings are underway on it. We assure everyone that we will ensure that no unfortunate situation occurs in future. Will be insistent that the criminals receive strict punishment as per the law. Efforts by anti-social, irreligious and selfish elements to defame Sanatan Dharma will not succeed. Please avoid spreading misleading and baseless rumors yourself and do not let others fall victim to them. We believe that these clouds will disperse, the darkness will go away, the Sun of Truth will shine and the strong stream of devotion to Shri Ram will continue to flow unbroken.
