It’s Ramayana week as Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi-starrer Ramayana hits theatres on November 5, 2026. The film has garnered mixed responses from fans, with many lauding the CGI and VFX, Ranbir’s emotional portrayal of Lord Ram, and Sai’s enchanting look as Mata Sita. However, it was Yash as Ravana and Ravi Dubey as Laxman who stole the show.
Those who have watched the film are loving the mythological epic, praising its grandeur and the way the makers have dealt with the Ramayana.
Apart from Yash, Sai, Ranbir and Ravi, it was Sunny Deol’s cameo that won hearts. Moviegoers have taken pictures and recorded videos inside theatres, capturing the first glimpse of Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman.
Sunny Deol’s leaked clip introduces the actor as Lord Hanuman and is said to be from the post-credit sequence.
While the character’s face is not revealed, the leaked footage shows him making an entry as the Hanuman Chalisa plays in the background. The clip ends with a wider shot of Hanuman in the air as he chants, “Jai Shri Ram.”
What a time for #SunnyDeol post historical success of #Gadar2.
Now with his few seconds of clip as Hanuman Ji from #RamayanaPart1.

At the film’s Pratham Sankalp event in New Delhi, Sunny Deol got emotional about playing Hanuman and said, “To tell you the truth, I have done only a little work on the film so far. I still have a long way to go. I am grateful that I received the opportunity to play Hanuman ji. I will make every possible effort to portray him in the right way.”
“Playing Hanuman ji is not easy,” Sunny added. “But I know I will enjoy it immensely. He is playful, innocent and powerful. He is loved by everyone, and above all, he is a devotee of Lord Ram.”
Talking about Ramayana, the film’s second part has been delayed and will now release in Diwali 2028. Early reviews of Ranbir Kapoor’s film have been positive so far.
