Ranbir Kapoor’s first official look from one of the most awaited films in Bollywood, Love & Warhas been unveiled, with the makers also confirmed the film’s release date.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming directorial venture stars Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles.
On Thursday, Bhansali Productions took to social media to drop the first poster, writing, “Woh rutba, woh raub, woh junoon! Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War on 21st January 2027, See you at the movies!”
Vicky also shared the same poster with the caption, “Here we go! RK…” While Alia wrote, “SLB x RK (blast emoji)”
The poster features the 44-year-old actor driving a vintage blue convertible car, with his blood-soaked arm resting on the side. The striking glimpse hints at the film’s intense and violent storyline.

Fans reacted with excitement after the poster was droped. One wrote, “The kind of first look that makes you stop scrolling.” Another commented, “Finally he is going to be back on screen after 3 year.”
A third person wrote, “Ranbir Kapoor like never before! Love the first look poster.”
The poster also mentions January 21, 2027 as the release date, ahead of India’s Republic Day weekend, making it one of the significant movie releases scheduled for next year.

This is the first official glimpse of the film, while the makers are reportedly planning to drop the film’s teaser ahead of Ramayana: Part 1’s Diwali 2026 release.
The trilogy has remained one of the most talked-about upcoming projects due to its star-studded cast and Bhansali’s direction.
The film has also faced multiple leaks, with glimpses of the actors from the sets surfacing online.
Following the leaks, the 63-year-old filmmaker, known for his attention to detail and perfection, took strict measures to protect the project from further leaks.
