Nagaland team reached second round without playing
The match between Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland in the Plate Group of Ranji Trophy was to be played on October 11 in Ahmedabad. However, due to the ongoing dispute in the Arunachal Pradesh Cricket Association, the team could not be selected, due to which the Arunachal Pradesh team was not available to play the match.
BCCI had already informed the officials that this match would not be able to start. After this Nagaland got a walkover and the team was declared the winner. With this victory, Nagaland got six points. Usually, if a team withdraws from the match, the other team has to remain present on the field to win. But due to prior information received from BCCI in this matter, Nagaland decided to return to the airport instead of going to the field.

What is the dispute in Arunachal Cricket Association?

This happened in Ranji Trophy after 17 years
The Ranji Trophy match has been canceled after almost 17 years due to no team playing the match. Earlier in the year 2009, the Services team had refused to go to Srinagar due to security reasons. After this, Jammu and Kashmir won through walkover. Now Arunachal Pradesh has to play against Sikkim next week.
If the dispute is not resolved by then and the team is not selected, then this match may also be cancelled. In such a situation, the association's dispute seems to be affecting the state's domestic cricket team.
