While earlier there was tremendous excitement about this film, now the news of actor Ranveer Singh leaving the project has raised many questions. Now according to new news, new reasons have emerged as to why Ranveer Singh left Don 3.

Ranveer Singh wanted changes in the film
The film is being directed by Farhan Akhtar, and the “Don” franchise has already made a mark with big stars like Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan. In such a situation, when Ranveer Singh was introduced as the new “Don”, the expectations of the fans increased even more.

However, according to the reports now emerging, there were differences between Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar regarding the story and character of the film. It is being said that Ranveer Singh wanted to show the character of ‘Don’ in a more raw and violent form as per today’s times. For this, he had talked about including “strong language” and more action-violence in the film.

Farhan did not agree with Ranveer’s idea
On the other hand, Farhan Akhtar did not agree with this idea. He believed that the character of “Don” is known for his style, grace and smartness, and it was important to maintain it in its original form. According to him, the earlier “Don” characters have left a deep impact on the audience even without any foul language.

Due to these creative differences, the distance between the two increased and ultimately Ranveer Singh decided to distance himself from the film. It is being told that this decision was taken in 2025, when there was constant disagreement regarding the script and tone of the film.

Producers took legal action against Ranveer
Some reports also claimed that production house Excel Entertainment had asked for a compensation of around Rs 40 crore due to pre-production and other expenses. However, later it also came to light that Ranveer Singh agreed to return a part of this amount, but this has not been officially confirmed.

Farhan Akhtar had also reacted to this entire matter in an interview. He said that nothing is certain in the film industry and every project brings with it new challenges.
