Rape In Mosque: A sensational case of rape inside a mosque in Palwal of Haryana has come to light in Palwal, Haryana, adjacent to Delhi. A minor girl student who had gone to get a charger was raped inside the mosque. The student had gone to the mosque to get the charger for her father's mobile phone. During this time, one of her relatives held her hostage in the room and raped her. The victim is a class 6 student in a private school. The police have arrested the accused.
The whole matter is about the mosque located in Hasanpur, Palwal. The incident happened last Tuesday (25 August). However, the matter has now come to light. The victim's father is a maulvi of the mosque.
According to the police, the accused had come to Hasanpur for some personal work. The victim's father had made arrangements for her stay in the mosque premises itself. The victim was sent by her cleric father to get the mobile charger from inside the mosque. When the student entered the mosque, the suspect allegedly called her inside a room after finding her alone and closed the door. After this he raped her. The investigating officer said that when the girl did not return for some time, her mother became suspicious. She went to the mosque and raised an alarm after hearing the girl screaming.
Rape confirmed in medical examination
The police officer said that the victim's father and others saved her by breaking the door of the room. However the accused managed to escape. SHO Sub Inspector Vijay Pal of Hasanpur police station said that the victim was taken to Palwal Civil Hospital. After being treated there for two days, he was discharged. He told that the medical examination has confirmed rape. Pal said that on Tuesday, an FIR was registered against the accused under Section 6 (aggravated sexual assault) of the 'Protection of Children Against Sexual Offenses Act' (POCSO Act).
