Rape of a girl in the bathroom of the University of Chicago: The boys standing outside were shouting – 'When will my turn come?'

Serious questions have once again been raised on the safety of women and the campus arrangements in America's prestigious universities. The echo of serious cases recently reported at Cornell University had not yet subsided when a very shocking and embarrassing incident of humanity has come to light from the University of Chicago. A case of alleged rape of a girl during a party in a fraternity house of the university has come to light. The most shocking and cruel thing is that while this disgusting act was going on, some students standing outside were banging on the door and shamelessly shouting 'When will it be my turn now?' This incident, which took place at the prestigious University of Chicago, which has approximately 18,000 students, has shaken the entire campus from within. According to information received from police and local media reports, the 21-year-old victim had gone with her friend Mia Lara and another co-worker to attend a party at the 'Alpha Epsilon Pi' frat house after seeing an advertisement on Instagram. During the party, due to excessive alcohol consumption and dancing, the victim's health suddenly started deteriorating. When her friends reached the basement in search of her, they saw that the door of a bathroom was closed from inside and there was a huge crowd of boys gathered outside it, who were shouting in a very inhuman manner, 'When is my turn?' And 'let me in'. Friend saved her by breaking the door, accused gave shameless plea. According to reports, the victim's friend Mia Lara somehow opened the bathroom door by pushing. He was shocked to see the scene inside. He saw that the victim was sitting unconscious on the bathroom floor, leaning against the wall. There was also a person present in that room who was not a university student. The victim kept screaming, saying 'stop it…' and 'get me out of here'. When Mia Lara followed the suspicious man and accused him of assault, he very shamelessly replied that the girl herself wanted it. Immediately after the incident, the victim lodged an official complaint with the police and reached the hospital for medical examination. Police investigation continues, Fraternity organization gave clarification. Chicago Police say that no one has been arrested in this case yet, but the university administration has claimed that they have identified a suspect. On the other hand, Jonathan Pierce, spokesperson of the national organization of 'Alpha Epsilon Pi' has issued a statement claiming that none of their members took part in this despicable attack nor encouraged it. According to him, as soon as other members came to know about this, they immediately closed the party and drove the accused away from there. However, after this incident, a heated debate has once again erupted regarding the safety of girl students on university campuses in America.
