Ingredients for Samosa
- 2 cups wheat flour
- 3 boiled potatoes (mashed)
- 1/2 cup green peas
- 2 green chillies (finely chopped)
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- 1/4 teaspoon garam masala
- 1/4 tsp red chillies
- 1 tsp finely chopped coriander
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp oil or ghee
- Oil as required for frying samosas
Samosa making recipe
First add some salt and oil to the wheat flour and knead it into a thick dough. Then heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, green chillies and spices and add boiled potatoes and peas to it. After the prepared saran is cooled, roll out small honeycombs of dough and fill them with saran and shape them into samosas. These samosas become more crispy when fried on low flame. These samosas can also be prepared in an air fryer. Serve hot wheat flour samosas with green chutney, sweet tamarind chutney or tomato sauce.
Special tip
Adding some ghee to the wheat flour and kneading the dough will make the samosas more crispy. Also, samosas get a golden color and taste more if they are fried on low flame.
