Record of 150 years will be broken! Earth will heat like a furnace, dangerous effect of Super El Nino, see here…

New Delhi. One thing is that this year there will be more heat because ‘El Nino’ will have an impact. You might have heard this, but now they are saying that this year’s ‘El Nino’ is going to be ‘Super El Nino’, that is, all the summer records are going to be broken. So what is this Super El Niño? Most of the public does not even understand what El Nino is? First we should understand the same, only then we will understand what Super El Nino is. So El Niño means small child in Spanish. To a small boy or child. Yes, this child keeps coming back every few years and the heat in India increases. So why is the name in Spanish? What does Spain have to do with our summer? Well, Spain has nothing to do with El Nino either.

This name El Nino is in Spanish language because Spain used to rule most of the countries in South America. Like India was ruled by the British, so the English language came here with them, but people already lived in India and we also had our own languages. But there was not much population on the large continent of South America. The whole thing was forest. Some natives used to live there. So when people from European countries like Spain and Portugal went there and settled and ruled, their languages became the languages of South America as well.
The effect of El Nino is already visible.

let’s know the nomenclature
For example, Portuguese language is spoken in Brazil. But in most of the countries of the rest of the South American continent, the Spanish language is spoken and in Spanish the little boy is called El Niño. This name has been given to a change in the weather. Which happens every few years in the eastern part of South America. Now the thing to understand is that if this small child creates turmoil in the waters of South America, then why does the heat increase in India?

Understand the geography of El Niño from the map
So let’s take a look at the map. Firstly, we are used to seeing the map in such a way that North and South America are on the left, i.e. in the west, and Australia and Japan are on the right, i.e. in the east. We have been seeing this since school and in this map, South America is to the west of India. But, the world is round. So if the map is drawn like this from the east, what will happen if Australia goes further? Will come to South America only. And between South America and Australia is the South Pacific Ocean. That is, on the right side in the east is the coast of South America – countries like Peru and Ecuador. On the left, i.e. in the west, are Asia and Australia. Now India is on the left side of this map, i.e. in the west, far away from the Pacific, near the Indian Ocean.

Why does El Nino form?
What happens on normal days is that the water in the eastern part of the Pacific Ocean i.e. near South America remains cold. Cold water keeps coming up there. Whereas the water in the western part i.e. near Indonesia and Philippines remains very hot. Winds blow from east to west i.e. from South America to the coast of Asia. These winds are called trade winds. These winds keep pushing the hot water towards the west. That means it keeps pushing hot water from South America to the Asian side. Because of this, cold water keeps rising in the east, that is, in the Pacific Ocean, cold water keeps rising towards South America and hot water keeps going towards Asia. But sometimes every 2 to 7 years the trade winds weaken. This is called El Niño.

Then it doesn’t rain in India again
As if someone had turned off the air switch. So that hot water which was accumulated in the west, towards Asia, now starts flowing towards the east i.e. towards South America. That means the water of the entire Pacific Ocean becomes unusually warm. Becomes warmer by 0.5 degrees or more. What happens because of this is that the air over the sea becomes hot. Hot air rises, clouds form, and it rains. But all this happens near South America, because if the winds are not blowing in this direction, then the clouds do not come towards Asia and it rains there. In South America it just rains.

How is India’s weather affected?
Now come to India. Our monsoon comes from the west. Mainly comes from south-west winds. Meaning, winds come from over the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean carrying moisture from the ocean’s surface. And brings heavy rains from June to September. Due to El Niño, the entire wind pattern changes due to the warm water in the Pacific Ocean. The winds that bring moist air towards India become weak or change their path. So, less clouds are formed over India also. The sky remains mostly clear. In the months of April, May and June, the sun’s rays fall directly on the ground. No cloud provides shade. The ground heats up rapidly. Especially in areas like North India, Central India, Rajasthan, Delhi, UP, Madhya Pradesh etc.

The incident had happened 2 years ago also
Even in 2023, when El Nino was strong, the temperature in many cities of India reached 45-48 degrees. The monsoon remained weak, rainfall was less, and the summer was prolonged. That is, due to the heating of water in the distant Pacific Ocean, a long chain of air moves which affects India, thousands of kilometers away.

Super El Niño this year
Now what is happening this year? Experts are saying that El Nino will not be a small child this year. This could be Super El Nino. Because the sea surface water in the Pacific Ocean is warming very fast. In the central Pacific Ocean, the weekly temperature has already reached +0.9 degrees Celsius. Very hot water has accumulated below the surface of the water and has been increasing continuously for 6 months. Super El Niño means when the water in the central Pacific Ocean warms by 2 degrees or more. It has already reached +0.9 degrees. But if it reaches 2 degrees, this has happened only a few times after 1950. It happened in 1982, it happened in 1997, it happened in 2015. And this year there is fear because the water in the Pacific Ocean is warming very fast.

the earth will become a furnace
A large reservoir of extremely hot water has formed beneath the earth’s surface. It is coming up and mixing with the air and heating the air further. The entire Earth is already getting warmer due to global warming. Therefore, when El Nino comes, its impact becomes more intense. Some experts are saying that this year’s El Nino could be the strongest in 150 years. If this year’s El Nino becomes Super El Nino, then the monsoon may become even weaker, that is, there may be very little rainfall and there may be drought. The waves of heat and heat waves will last longer and faster. And if this happens, North India, Central India and Western India will be affected the most. So Chhote Mian is Chhote Mian, if Super El Nino happens then the earth will become a furnace.
