Lucknow. There has been a big relief in filling seats in the engineering institutes of the state. The Supreme Court has extended the date of admission in institutions affiliated to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) till August 31. In such a situation, the university will now conduct another special phase of counselling. Currently about 74 thousand seats are vacant for admission.

The university has made 25 thousand admissions through five stages of admission counselling. Whereas the admission process for the sixth phase is currently going on. More than 30 thousand registrations have been done in this and more than 22 thousand students have filled their choices. Choice filling in this phase will continue till August 16. Whereas seat allotment will be on 18th and physical reporting will be from 19th to 21st August.
12th pass students will get a chance for direct admission
In this sequence, the university has also released the schedule of 7th round of admission counselling. Registration for this will be from 19th to 23rd August. Fees will be deposited from 19th to 26th August. Choice filling will take place from 23rd to 26th August and seat allotment will take place on 27th August. Whereas physical reporting will take place from 29th to 31st August. In this phase also, JEE, CUET UG and then 12th pass students will get a chance for direct admission.
AKTU Vice Chancellor Prof. JP Pandey (AKTU Vice-Chancellor Prof. JP Pandey) said that permission for entry has been received from the Supreme Court till September 15. In view of this, the university has decided to give students another chance for admission. There will be requisite number of admissions in these two special stages. Besides, students will also get better admission options. The university has released the schedule of 7th round of counselling.
