Relief to small businessmen! You can soon get 10 kg commercial LPG cylinders, know the complete scheme
Knews Desk- Big relief may soon be available for small businessmen, restaurant operators, street vendors and food kiosk operators. Government oil marketing companies are preparing to launch commercial LPG cylinders with 10 kg capacity for commercial consumers. If this proposal is implemented, businesses and small consumers working in less space will get the option of lightweight and convenient cylinders.
According to media reports, Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum (HPCL) are considering this new plan. The proposed 10 kg cylinders will be composite cylinders made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE), which can be made available at commercial LPG rates through gas agencies and select retail outlets.
Currently, 19 kg LPG cylinders are mainly used for commercial use. However, small hotels, tea shops, cafes, food stalls, people living on rent, students and migrant laborers often find it difficult to store or lift such a large cylinder. In such a situation, a lighter cylinder of 10 kg can prove to be a more useful option for them.
Government oil companies are already providing lightweight composite cylinders to domestic consumers. of Indian Oil Indane Xtraliteof Bharat Petroleum Bharatgas Lite and Hindustan Petroleum HP Gas Ojas There are products of this category. At present, apart from 19 kg, 5 kg and 2 kg cylinders are also available for commercial consumers, but the option of 10 kg is not available in the market yet.
According to the report, the new 10 kg composite cylinder will be manufactured with modern technology. Its three-layer structure makes it much lighter than conventional steel cylinders. It is being told that its weight will be approximately 50 percent less than that of a steel cylinder, which will make it easier to lift, carry and use.
A special feature of these cylinders will also be their transparent body. Through this, consumers will be able to easily see the quantity of LPG left in the cylinder without any additional gas gauge. This will make it easier to plan refills in time and will also reduce the problem of suddenly running out of gas.
Talking about the price, currently the price of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder in Delhi is Rs 942, while the price of 19 kg commercial cylinder is around Rs 2,930. Whereas the price of 5 kg commercial cylinder has been stated to be Rs 808.50. The price of the proposed 10 kg cylinder has not been decided yet.
However, the official announcement of launching 10 kg commercial LPG cylinder has not been made yet by the government oil companies. At present this scheme is under consideration and once implemented, more convenient and lighter gas cylinders will be available to millions of small businessmen and commercial consumers.
