If a loan is taken from the bank for 5 years (60 months) at an annual interest rate of 9%, then an EMI of Rs 30,598 will have to be paid every month. During this period, the total interest payable in 5 years will be Rs 3,61,880.

Whereas, if the loan tenure is increased to 7 years (84 months), then the monthly installment will reduce to Rs 23,700. However, the total interest payment over a period of 7 years will increase to approximately Rs 5,16,800.
