Rishabh Pant: Will Rishabh Pant be out of New Zealand tour? Failed in fitness test

A big update has come out on the fitness of Team India's star wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant. Pant has failed the fitness test before flying to New Zealand. Pant could not prove his fitness at the Center of Excellence (CoE) of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Sunday (November 1), which has deepened the suspense over his going on the New Zealand tour.

Pant will get another chance

BCCI will give Pant another chance to prove his fitness. According to the report of Cricinfo, the medical team of the board will take Pant's fitness test again within the next two days. Only after this will the decision be taken whether he will go to New Zealand or not. Pant has been in CoE since 23 October. He has started practicing batting and wicketkeeping.

Pant suffered a side strain injury during the Irani Cup. If he is declared fit after the second fitness test, then he can play for India-A in the third unofficial test match against New Zealand-A. This is Pant's last chance to prepare before the 2-Test series against New Zealand starting on November 19.
