After the demonstration at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, the student movement again intensified in Bihar. Regarding this matter, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MP Sudhakar Singh was sitting on a one-day dharna in Patna. He accused the government of committing excesses through the police and said that students and opposition leaders were being harassed without any reason.
While talking to the media during the dharna, the MP said that despite the Prime Minister’s assurance, the action against the people associated with the student movement in Bihar has not stopped. He alleged that the students have been detained illegally and new cases are being registered against them. Opposition leaders are also being sent to jail. Many leaders including Tej Pratap Yadav were detained and many people were arrested.

The RJD MP has warned Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary that if the attitude of the government does not improve, another big movement will be launched in Bihar. He told that in many districts like Jehanabad, Gaya, Katihar, Darbhanga, Chhapra and Siwan, police lathicharged the students. The government did not form any committee to investigate all this. Instead of taking action against the wrongdoers, on the contrary the students themselves are being implicated.
Regarding the damage to government property and attacks on police, he said that he does not support any kind of violence. Along with this, he alleged that in order to defame the movement, some outsiders and people associated with the Sangh had entered the protest and spread violence so that the student movement could be defamed.
No one becomes a leader by making a reel
On Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s advice to ministers to be active on Instagram, Sudhakar Singh said that students have made reels and memes on social media to show their displeasure with the government and ministers. He also said that he does not know how to run Instagram very well but he has not become a leader by making reels. He will continue to raise the problems of the people from the streets to the Parliament and the Assembly.

During the demonstration, there were clashes between police and students in many districts including Gandhi Maidan, Dakbungla and Siwan in Patna. During this period, many students and opposition leaders were arrested and cases were also registered in some cases. RJD and other opposition parties are calling it dictatorship of the government, while the government says that everyone has the freedom to protest peacefully but those who indulge in violence and vandalism will not be spared.
